My second participation to the Billboard Art Project. It took place in Detroit Metro (Utica), MI, between May 28 and June 24, 2012. I was one of the 50 international artists who specially contributed to this event. I chose to show pictures of stacked vinyls of different colours and in different conditions. This resulted in abstract patterns and layers. Images repeated every 140 minutes every day of the exhibition. Check out this slide show to experience some views on the billboard. The following time-lapse video was shot from a parking lot and shows the billboard displaying my series of images. [Note: my name is so unfamiliar in America (and pretty much everywhere I realise) that it is misspelled in the inserted text. Still, it appears correctly on the billboard]. |
Images from this series were selected by New York based artist Katerina Lanfranco to be part of a week long segment during the Billboard Art Project show in Atlanta, GA. This specially curated event called Color Shift ran from Saturday, October 13 to Friday, October 19. |
