Time Suspended is a field recording of one steep street in Lausanne, Switzerland, captured on December 20 late afternoon. It is 6:15 pm and the M2 subway line is threatened by severe disruption due to snowfalls. I choose to continue walking down the Petit-Chêne. The pedestrians rushing down the street to catch their train cross those who breathlessly walk up the paved road to reach the city centre. Christmas is coming and outdoor loudspeakers play Bing Crosby's songs. Is it a marketing strategy ? Anyway, time is suspended. I hold on for a while and record the scene with my mobile phone. | ![]() |
